Comment: Galston Parish Church stands high and proud in the middle of the village. Covered in trees on the one side and houses on the other, it's certainly a challenge to photograph.

Comment: Galston Parish Church was once described as "a most simple, convenient and elegant plan". Standing on the highest part of the village it dominates the scene for miles around.

Comment: St. Sophia's (RC) Church in Galston has been through a war with old man time. Built in 1885, things started to fall off the old girl in 1998. Determined parishoners saved her from becoming abandoned. |

Comment: The old School on Station Road Galston, looking rather sad with windows boarded up. A familiar and growing sight in Ayrshire. Late 1800's buildings are too small and too expensive to operate now. |
