Comment: Woo hoo look at this. Early evening departure on Rwy 23 as seen from Walkinshaw Road. It may be the last we see of the Tupelov if they don't change the engines. New regulations in force 2007 will prohibit such noisy and smokey aircraft from coming to Scotland.

Comment: The Russians have landed at Glasgow. This aircraft would no longer be allowed to fly in European airspace after Dec 31st 2006 with the current engines installed due to noise and emission regulations. This is an aircraft from the good old smokey and noisy era. Enjoy it whilst it lasts.

Comment: Excuse the foreground rubble but it's not every day you get a chance to photograph a Russian Tupelov at Glasgow. Balkan Holidays despite it's name and use of Russian aircraft actually have a co.uk registered website. They have served the east for over 30 years and regularly fly to Bulgaria, Croatia, Montenegro, Slovenia, Serbia and Romania. Nice to see something different for a change.
